About Me
Jluy 31, 2007
I am in the process of getting braces put on my teeth, yesterday I went to the dentist and got elastics put on my uper back teeth to seperate the teeth so the braces will be ready to be on by Monday. The elastics hurt a lot because every time I put pressure on my teeth the elastic is pushed up in my gums. So far watermelan and ice helps. And if all goes well I should have braces by Monday! I am only getting them on the top and the orthadontist is saying they should only be on for about 10 months, then I have to use a retaner. Sorry for the messy spelling but I thought it would be nice to update my blog.
I would love to hear about the missions trip kgt’s youth did. You can leave a post or if you have my email you can email me. I was praying it would be all good and stuff.

I am doing well. Last night we watched Hidalgo. It was a very good movie. If you have ever seen “Night at the Museum” it is very good as well. Today we are going to Fountain Square, which is kind of an outside mall. There is a store called Hong Kong. The movies there are 3 Manat, which is about $3.50 Canadian. There is also a coffee shop in the Old City (next to Fountain Square) and it is called Chocolata. We’ll have some lunch there today. I am very excited. If you ever visit Azerbaijan we will have to take you to the mud volcanoes. There are extraordinary. Our new youth pastor, Joe, fell into one of them and was up to his waist in mud. Look on the website for pics. Yesterday we went to the Ramstore, (they don’t sell Rams there) it is like a real grocery store and it almost felt like home. I got a bread there and it was wholewheat. It was 13 qapik (which is about 15 cents). I am so happy that I can finally start my blog. Stay posted for new stuff. Michaella.\

Our friends, the Mollenhauers, have five kids and they are all our ages except the youngest. Their dad plays on a basketball team called Az Top. We went to a game tonight and they lost, but it was good to see my friends.
On the weekend I am going on a retreat with the Youth Group to somewhere in Nebron. It is called Malibou Resort. I wish it had “And Spa” attached to the end of the name but it doesn’t. I am looking forward to it but I know it will be different from my last youth retreat in Canada.
School is going well. We have Stanford Testing all week. It isn’t all that bad. These are tests that are from the States. It will tell us how we compare with other students at this level. The tests will end on Thursday. In literature we are writing Poem Anthologies, a group of poems made by the same author. I am enjoying it.
Church is good. For Easter we had a nice Easter service. Had a great skit performed by some youth and young adults and a choreographed song done by the youth. In the afternoon we enjoyed lunch with friends and an Easter Hunt outside. Then we came back to church for a Drama called “The Sacrifice”. It was good!
That’s all for now, I hope it will not take as long to publish my next entry as last time.

Hi Michaella,
Nice to read about how you are doing. We were talking about you and Marissa in Sunday School today. Taylor said you have a cell phone, and all the girls were envious. I will have to check back to see how you are getting along!
Hi Michaella
It is so nice to hear all about your life in Baku. I am really excited that by the time we visit you in Baku, you will know all the interesting places for us to visit. The missions trip was a fantastic experience Michaella. It would have been great to have had you as a part of it; but I am sure that you will have many opportunities of your own ahead of you.
Martha gets her braces on Friday (the day before her birthday). I’ll tell her to e-mail you so that you can compare notes on the subject.
Todd.
HI Michaella,
Braces huh? that will be difficult to kiss the boys, i’m sure your dad will be glad about that. miss you lots! Auntie Heather

Hey Michaella,
I just want to tell you how beautiful you are always, and you look really beautiful in braces, I was noticing. It starts hurting a lot less soon, and then only when you get them tightened- but you look great in them. I am so sorry that Millionaire cut you off last night, but who can complain when you get the candy without all the pressure, right? See you tomorrow.
Love,
Amy
Michaella!!! Gosh we miss you all over here! I’m glad things are good with you (how are the braces)?
The Missions Trip was awesome, I hope you heard about it. We had a website and everything (www.winnipeg2007.com yeah we’re that cool to have a website). lol gosh it was just super. I bet you’re doing super stuff too. I hope to hear all about it
Love Devonnie
Hello Michaella!
You look great in braces. How are your teeth these days? I remember when I had braces - it hurt when I got them tightened, but within a couple of days my mouth felt better. Just remember that you can still kiss lots of boys even with braces… unless you’re kissing another boy who ALSO has braces, with him you’ll have to be careful about technique…
… but IT’S STILL “DOABLE”! I’d give you some tips but grandpa may read this and that would be a tad embarrassing!!
I heard from grandma and grandpa that you won your debate at school. Way to go!! Keep up the good academics!
Bye for now. Love, Auntie Meeb xoxo
Heh Michaella!
How are your braces going? Martha has her colours changed everytime she has them tightened.
So what is this about you and a debate at school? Let us know how things are going for you!
Ange.
Hi Michaella,
So, how old are you going to be? So, this is Naomi. I have a boyfriend. His name is Devon. So, I’m getting married to him and he told me he loved me. and, it will be a surprise for Devon cause do you know what, its your birthday almost coming up and I can’t come to your party, so maybe next time when you move again, tell your parents to move again. I might cry.
Naomi (as dictated to Mom)
Michaella.
It’s been too long,
I’m missing you more and more,
it’s been really hard to keep in touch but I’m still thinking about you.
Lately everything has been soo stressful, grade 8 is fun, but it’s a little overwhelming but hey, i can deal.
How’s Azerbai- where ever you are. hehe!
and i believe i missed sending you an email but i was thinking about you. :’(
I’m really sad that you moved, but I’m excited to see you. When ever that might be, I’ll be awaiting that day
Any way, I have good news, and bad news.
I’ll start off with the bad;
I don’t think I’m going to grand, i applied for the arts program at Eastwood, and i really want to go (except for the fact that i will be abandoning all my friends, even Lilly, my bfi, which completely blows but I gotta go m own way, and I’m sure we’ll stay friends).
Now, for the good news (times 2).
I made the basketball and volleyball team at Stanley, YES! i was so happy.
As well, I’ve had 2 bf’s (boyfriends if you didn’t know, but i didn’t doubt your knowledge) one being Will, remember him? the blond kid, with really pale skin. that was a while ago, but now I’m going out with Nathan Ball, and you know him, if you remember i can’t say much. But ya we’ve been going out for 2 weeks now.
any way, i hope all is well.
i’ll talk to you later,
soon hopefully
heart!
and all that jazz (:
-Erika
