About Erin

Hi I am Erin and I am eight years old.  We were only in Azerbaijan one week and then I had my birthday.  I got to celebrate it with almost 300 people.

I am missing Canada, the cottage on Manitoulin, my grandparents and most of all my cat Theodore.  I was missing Theodore soooo much that my parents decided to get me a kitten.  When we went to the Animal Clinic, the people there recommended that we get two kittens because they keep each other company and aren’t too much more work than one kitten.  So now, we have Zoey and Kiwi that have come to live with us.  I love Zoey because she is so cuddly.  Jacob loves Kiwi because she is so energetic and playful.  I love our kittens but they still do not replace Theodore.

Marissa got a turtle named Harry but re-named him Bob.  Bob likes to eat lettuce but doesn’t do much other than keep Marissa busy having to clean out his cage.

I am in Grade 2 at Caspian Academy.  I have 16 kids in my class and my teacher’s name is Miss Nicole.  We call all our teachers by their first name, with a “Miss” in front of it.  I take Azeri class instead of French and only have a half hour for lunch.  Some times the days feel very long.  I love weekends when I can relax and stay home and play with my kittens.

Bye for now.

Erin

    Hi Erin

I am glad that you are enjoying your kittens. Have you tried taking Zoey for a walk with the leash that we sent you? I hope that the kittens are liking the toys as well.

Erin, I am so excited that Grumpy and I will be able to see you at Christmas this year and I can hardly wait. You and I are going to do some special things when we get there.

I am doing some shopping for you guys and I hope that you will enjoy the things we send.

    Love you lots.

    Hi Erin

I forgot to tell you that Rosie is going to have kittens next week. As soon as they are about a week old, Grumpy will take some pictures and send them to you.

I am glad to hear you are enjoying your kittens! You inspired us to get a new kitten in our home. His name is Sylvester because he likes to try and catch our bird Tweety.

    Hello Erin,
Thanks so much for texting me the other day. It was so sweet of you to do that and it made my day. Thanks for always being so wonderful to be around. Elena loves to say Erin even when you are not around, she really loves you and so do I. Take good care of yourself and those kitties, and we will see you tomorrow.
    Love,
    Amy

    Hello Cutie!

Grandma and Grandpa said they had a great visit with you guys. I was asking them all about your kittens - they sound sooo cute. Do they sleep with you?

Grandpa showed me some pictures of you and it looks like you’ve grown a lot taller since I last saw you at my house in January. Pretty soon you’ll be taller than me!! Have you gotten into any sports this school year, maybe soccer or gymnastics? I hear you’re doing a lot of swimming at the club.

Bye for now. I miss you and love you very much!!

    Hi Erin!

I hear you are now settling in to your new school. I hope you are liking it and not finding it too hard.

We have a new cat now called Sylvester. The cat at my work had another litter of kittens, and the girls are trying to convince me to bring home another kitten. What do you think?

    We miss you.

Hi Erin, I just want to say Happy Birthday to you! The months and years are flying by while you are living in Baku but you are not forgotten. The worst part is you are growing up so fast, and we don’t get to know you when we are a world away! But we keep your family on the fridge and pray for you every day.
Have a wonderful Birthday! love, nene & Uncle Bob.
