auditorium2.jpgLast Sunday morning we added something new - an earlier service. The 9:00 AM is called the ‘traditional’ service as we try to incorporate some congregational readings, sing older hymns and have a more structured hour. The first week was attened by about 33 people and I think everyone there enjoyed it. After the service we changed gears and got ready for the 10:30 AM service which is more contemporary. By ‘contemporary’ I mean we have a praise team, sing more choruses and are a little more free and unstructured. We usually have anywhere from 260 to 300 in the main service. I enjoyed both services and so had a great morning. The earlier service is an experiement for the next couple months as we try to determine whether or not there is a need for this type of service. My feeling is that there are many more expats in Baku than we are currently reaching and we need to try as many venues and formats as necessary to reach more people. We’d appreciate your prayers as we continue this journey.

I think that is a fabulous idea! Good luck!
Do you preach more traditionally in the first service and more comtemporary in the second? ha ha
