Settling In
February 21st, 2007 by David Fortune
A couple of good things to report. We are now living in an apartment in an area of Baku called Montin. It’s a nice little place that will be home for the next few months as we adjust to our new city. The street is full of shops, taxis and people. The newest McDonald’s is just a 10 minute walk away.
The other good report, the kids started school today. They were ready for some routine and for some new friends. Their parents were also ready for them to go back to school. So we are really grateful they could go and I’m sure it will help their adjustment. Actually, they have been great these past 2 weeks, we have put them through alot. Thanks for your prayers.
Now that we have an apartment and a phone line we should have more regular internet access although we are still setting things up. So feel free to drop us a line or leave a comment.
David
PS - No — we don’t miss all the snow at home. It was a beautiful, sunny, warm day here in Baku and we’ll take that.
Glad to read your update. I have sent an email with some messages from your children’s friends here.

Glad to hear that you found a place. As a choir, we’ve been praying for you. Gord has been giving us updates.
Really glad that you found a place to call home. I am sure that will futher assist you in the settling in process. We miss you a lot at KGT and you are all in our thoughts and prayers on a regular basis. Do you have any current pictures to post? We miss your smiling faces!
