The Move Is On

Here’s a quick update on where we are now. Last night (Tuesday) Rhonda and I packed up what was left at the house and stayed overnight at my sister’s. Thanks to Shawn and Cathy for helping with all the luggage. We have been blessed in our home over the last couple of years and it was sad to say ‘good-bye’ to the neighbours.

This morning Mary-Beth (my sister) dropped us off at the airport and we flew to Edmonton. Currently, we are at Sunnyside Camp near Red Deer Alberta. We are looking forward to a good week here. The kids are all at Kanerika Farm with John and Erika.

I appreciated the opportunity to speak last Sunday in Sudbury. Thanks to all those who offered prayers and support.

So, the move is on. We now live out of suitcases and don’t know where our next home will be. But, we’re okay with that because this is a great adventure. Yes, it’s a risk but we know God is with us. We can step out in faith because we have been taking little steps and are ready for bigger ones. Are you taking steps of faith? Have you been exercising those muscles? Our faith only grows when we are using it.

Blessings, David

We are praying for you all in this time of transition. Even if a particular moment is stressful, you will look back and see how God has preordained every detail. Hope you are able to keep us updated through the next few weeks!

    Hi Fortune Family,
Wow, what a great new adventure! How exciting to be working in an international congregation. You will meet people from all over - all the time. Thanks for setting up this blog site (Jenn gave me the address). I will be praying for you and the kids as you travel and transition to your new world. God Bless you in your (God’s) great adventure! ~Janice
